About the event
Good footage is not the same thing as a good video. This four-hour session is about the part most people skip: structure. Before a single frame is shot, the story has to have a shape — and that shape is what keeps a viewer watching past the first three seconds.
We break down three-act framing and how it applies to a sixty-second social clip just as much as a ten-minute brand film. From there we build practical tools: shot lists that keep you organized on set, sequencing that makes a cut feel intentional, and a b-roll strategy that gives your editor options instead of headaches.
The back half of the class focuses on interviewing. You will learn how to write questions that open a subject up, how to listen for the moment worth building the piece around, and how to guide a conversation so the story emerges naturally rather than…
